July 2, 2008 Mike is doing well. He went to the Doctor on Monday and got a report of his latest scans. The scan shows his tumors are shrinking a bit. Some bone that was eaten away from the cancer seems to be growing back and attempting to heal. Mike has a side effect from one of the chemo drugs. He has fluid around his lungs and heart. The doctor has taken him off the chemo drug causing the fluid build up. This will hopefully help the fluid to disappear. He is now taking just one chemo drug during his treatments. He will continue this regimen until the doctor decides this isn’t working for Mike. Mike is getting around and getting out and about. He has low energy and gets short of breath but hopefully that will improve as the fluid disappears. He was recently given an electric chair to get around. He uses it to get around the neighborhood.
